Easily the best preserves I have ever had. In a class by itself.Jul 31, 2010 I found Tiptree's Little Scarlet Strawberry Preserves at a fancy hotel at least 20 years ago. I have kept at least 5 jars of it in my home at all times since then. Some years I had to have it shipped from stores in England because I couldn't find it anywhere in the USA. I don't care how much it cost, I would buy it. It is that extraordinary, and nothing comes close. You name the brand, I have tried it. Do a google to find the best prices. I have found it as low at $10.25 recently.
Before you die, at least try one jar of this preserve. Don't get their regular strawberry....it has to be the "Little Scarlet" type. You can read more about it at their website Tiptree.com, and I have no affiliation with them. If you have to justify the higher price, pretend to get it as a birthday or Christmas present for a loved one, then make sure you taste it too. ;-)
Here are the ingredientsApr 13, 2010 Ingredients per the label:
"Prepared with 60g of fruit per 100g. Ingredients: sugar, little scarlet strawberries, (pectin & citric acid added when required"
Made in England.
I agree, this is the best strawberry preserve ever! Just try finding strawberry preserve or jam in a U.S. supermarket with sugar as the ONLY sweetener!
The best preservesSep 01, 2008 Little Scarlet Strawberries are absolutly the best tasting. Their preserves are delicious, but it might be questionable to pay the high price. But if you are looking for the best, look no further.
