Extremely easy to make, and taste greatMar 01, 2006
By Kurt A. Johnson This scones mix is absolutely great! To make these scones, you merely put the mix into a bowl, add 3/4 cup of water, mix with a fork, place the dough on a lightly greased cookie sheet, and bake for 12-15 minutes - and that is it! So far, I have made four batches of these scones, and I have yet to have had a batch turn out anything other than perfect.
Plus, I must say that the scones made by this mix are delicious, especially when clotted cream is put on them! So, if you like scones then get this mix - the scones are extremely easy to make, and taste great. I give them my highest recommendations!
Product is excellent, price at Amazon is highMar 18, 2012
By Mary Van Engelen The mix is, indeed, excellent. Super easy to prepare and bake. I usually double the size of each scone.
But price at Amazon is really high. We can get these at the local Giant Food for about $4.00. Giant only has the blueberry and lemon poppyseed, though. If not for the $10 - $12 price tag at Amazon, I would try some of the other flavors.

My family's favorite sconesApr 18, 2011

And, I will admit, mine as well. They're very easy to make-- just require the addition of water. I do sometimes make oatmeal scones from scratch and those are very hearty, but these can't be beat for ease of prep and yumminess. I have two boys, ages 8 and 10, and these are always a hit. Cake-like and sweet, they're absolutely delicious with lemon, orange or lime curd or simply some jelly. We like to have breakfast for dinner with these scones, some fresh fruit and turkey sausage or bacon.
